Egg-splain Yourself

While decorating eggs this weekend a friend instructed the children to, "put something on your egg that describes you."

As I think about the fun weekend we had at all sorts of church and Easter functions these words keep replaying in my head.

If I could decorate and dye an egg to represent my heart and passions what would it look like?

African animals? Sports teams? Favorite foods? Smiles of your family? Pets paws?

As Christians shouldn't our lives be decorated in this way? As we live out the calling God as placed on our lives and the grace Christ has given us our days should be surrounded and decorated with love.

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

We love and appreciate our COH community's passion for our kiddos and Malawian friends. Each time you are speaking of the love God has shown you through your sponsor child or on your trip to Malawi you are helping others picture more of God's heart on your egg.

As I have gotten to know and love children at the Grace Center, they have left finger prints on my heart and when I picture an egg that includes my passions it has lots of finger prints creating Africa.

What would your Easter Egg look like if it accurately displayed your heart?

Would it be a BRIGHT display of hope or a muddled mess? Don't mix your messages like an egg moved from colored dye to colored dye. Focus your life and your love on the things God has instructed you to so HIS message shines through.

This Holy Week (the week leading up to Easter) let's decorate some eggs but also focus on decorating our lives with Jesus' love!
