From Babies to Teenagers
Children come to live at Timothy and Patricia’s Home for a variety of reasons: death of a parent(s), abusive situation, assigned by Social Services, and other reasons. In the home, we provide neo-natal care for infants whose mothers died in childbirth. Some children stay for a long time, others until their home situation is resolved.
Our children range in age from newborn to 18 years. We currently have 42 children living in the home and our school age children attend Grace Primary School. Once our children complete Standard 8, we reintegrate them to their home village but we continue to assist them throughout Secondary School.

Timothy and Patricia’s Home for Children
Timothy’s Home was established in 2009. It was never our intention to start an orphanage, but when six children were abandoned and we couldn’t find an alternative solution in our community, we made the decision to care for them at the Grace Center. In 2012, as the boys and girls were growing, we built Patricia’s Home to provide more space for them. Over time, medical treatments have reduced deaths from HIV/AIDS and other diseases, and families are better able to care for orphaned and vulnerable children. In 2019, we began the process of reintegrating children to their families. In early 2020, the remaining children were moved into one home: Timothy and Patricia’s Home for Children.
Meet Timothy
Timothy was a shining star in his school and in our orphan project. Whenever we would ask Timothy what he wanted to be when he grew up, he would respond, “I want to do what you do, Mama. I want to take care of orphaned children.” In October 2009, Timothy was escorting a group of children home from a wedding. A car racing down the highway swerved and hit him, taking his life instantly. We named Timothy’s Home after Timothy so that his vision of caring for orphaned children would live on through the many, many children who have been helped through this ministry.
Meet Patricia
Patty Kirkpatrick’s heart for the Lord shined through her beautiful smile and into all aspects of her life. This heart of love extended to all the children at the Grace Center as well. We are honored to have Patricia’s Home on the Grace Center campus welcoming lost and broken children into a home with love and legacy, and transforming them just as Mrs. Kirkpatrick’s generous and kind heart has transformed each person who crossed her path. Her lasting legacy is the love her family has always shown by living out God's call to be his hands and feet at home and abroad.
