Chickens and Goats, Oh My!

As Pastor Phiri drove the truck across the new bridge to the Chipoka project, he could hear the singing and laughter of the children welcoming him! The back of the truck was loaded with goats and chickens which were given to the children by their sponsors for Christmas this year!

At the Grace Center, one of our children receiving their chickens! I love looking around and seeing chickens and goats everywhere, including the trunk of the car!

It is not too late to give some chickens or a goat to your sponsored child. We will be distributing gifts again the first week of March to some children who did not get gifts in the first round of giving.

One of the most remarkable parts of this gift is the ongoing support that it provides to the family. As chickens lay eggs and produce more chickens, as goats begin to produce kids, the gift just keeps giving. We are so excited that we have the opportunity to put into the hands of our children and their families the gift of providing for themselves.
