What Now, God?

“What now, God?” This question is asked by many of our team members upon returning from Malawi. “What now?” Our hearts have been broken, our worlds have been crushed, and all we can think about is Malawi. The Grace Center, the children, memories of Malawi constantly scroll through our minds. Little things begin to remind us of Malawi… the smell of a fire burning, a soccer game, having to sit on the ground. The question remains: “What now, God?” What can I do to stay connected to Circle of Hope and my Malawi family?

My name is Jackie Weavill. I’ve spent the past two summers in Malawi, five weeks in 2013 and eight weeks in 2014. For over a year I’ve been asking, “What now, God?” Finally, I have an answer! Two weeks after coming home from Malawi, I packed up my car and moved to Kentucky to work at Circle of Hope’s home office. I am blessed to have a full-time job working in a ministry that I am passionate about and love. Though I am separated by thousands of miles from my Malawian family, I am able to advocate for them every day from our Wilmore office. So, for now my “What now, God?” is answered. I am excited for the journey that God has me on and can’t wait to see what He has next!

Jackie Weavill joins our Circle of Hope US office staff serving as our new Administrative Assistant. Jackie is a graduate of Kingswood University with a degree in Ministry. She has served as a Summer Intern at the Grace Center for the past two summers. Jackie brings strong administrative skills, "outside of the box" creative thinking and passionate love for Malawi to our US office. Welcome aboard, Jackie!

As we welcome Jackie, we also say good-bye to Dawn Cole who has served so faithfully for the past year. Dawn is moving on to full time ministry in her church, Destiny Community Church, in Lexington KY. Dawn, we wish you all the best and pray that God will move through you in mighty ways as you walk in new places with Him. Thank you for your faithful service to Circle of Hope and your love for Malawi! We know that will not end as you move forward!
